$2 – $6“Cowboy Joe: the Art of Joe Breckenridge” celebrates the work on traveling artist Joe Breckenridge. Born in Michigan in 1894, Joe moved to Kootenai County in 1928. Keeping Coeur d’Alene as his home base, he traveled all over the United States, Mexico and Canada as a freelance artist. He also participated in many rodeos, which earned him the nickname of Cowboy Joe. His artwork focused on landscapes and rural life, and he was notorious for drawing on the backs of slabs of wood.
Tour the exhibition at the Museum of North Idaho April 1st through May 30th.
