History Lecture with Dr. Heather Branstetter, Wednesday, May 25th   5:30-6:30 pm

Local historian Dr. Heather Branstetter will be at the Fort Sherman Chapel to discuss her book Selling Sex in the Silver Valley. Once the largest silver producer in the world, Wallace, Idaho became notorious for labor uprisings, hard drinking, gambling and prostitution. Dr. Branstetter's research features previously unpublished archival materials and oral histories as she relates the intimate details of this unlikely story. This program is free and open to the public.

Bring your lawn chair or blanket and come watch the '80s classic Ferris Bueller's Day Off in the lawn of the Fort Sherman Chapel.

Speakeasy, June 16th at 7 pm

Come dressed to the nines for a night of dancing, drinking, and fun. To skirt the fuzz, the location will remain a secret until the night of the event. Get dolled up, bring your gang, and let's whoopee all night. We'll have live music, casino tables, prohibition drinks, raffles, a costume contest & more!

Tickets are $75 for the general public and $60 for Museum members. Get yours before this event sells out. Tickets on sale online, at the Museum of North Idaho, or at the Coeur d'Alene Regional Chamber of Commerce.

The Speakeasy is a joint fundraiser for the Museum and the Arts & Culture Alliance.

History Lecture with Ron Roizen,                        June 22nd at 5:30 pm

Local historian Ron Roizen will be at the Fort Sherman Chapel to discuss his book The Rossie Murder. In 1916, Herman J. Rossi, one of Wallace, Idaho's leading citizens, shot and killed his young wife's lover, Clarence "Gabe" Dahlquist. A jury readily acquitted Rossi after a week-long trial. Ron's book explores both the details of Rossi's trial and the historical sociology of the unwritten law that resulted from the trial. This program is free and open to the public.

Antiques Appraisal Day, July 30th  11 am - 3 pm

James Supp, a regular on the popular antiques appraisal television program, will be back for another Antiques Appraisal Day. Each ticket is timed and grants you two items to be appraised. Don't have anything to be appraised but want to watch the fun? Come be a spectator instead.

Tickets are $25 and include two appraisals. Tickets can be purchased at the Museum or online.

Join us at the Fort Sherman Chapel for a day of historical fun. We'll have historical reenactors, live music, tours of the Chapel and a barbecue. This event is free and open to the public.

Visit the Museum of North Idaho's booth at the North Idaho State Fair inside the Centennial Selfie Museum. We'll be sharing histories from the past 100 years as well as selling our many regional history books.
