The Museum of North Idaho has been collecting and interpreting objects that represent the lives of The Coeur d’Alene Region for more than fifty years. The collections relate to or represent the Coeur d’Alene Region from the ice age flood to the present, and include about 8,000 artifacts, 36,000 photographs, and archives and library of about 7,000 items.

The research library collection holds reference books, photograph archives, and oral histories, including audio tapes about labor history in the lumbering industry.
The library is open to researchers Monday - Friday from 10am - 5pm. An appointment must be made in advance to access the library. Please email archives@museumni.org or call 208-664-3448 to schedule an appointment.
