Fort Sherman Chapel
The historic Fort Sherman Chapel, located at 332 Hubbard Street in Coeur d’Alene, offers a one-of-a-kind setting for weddings, memorials, vow renewals, and special events. Built in 1880 by the U.S. Army, it is Coeur d’Alene’s oldest surviving building and originally served as the community’s first church, school, library, and meeting hall. With its warm wooden pews, simple elegance, and rich historic character, the Chapel provides a meaningful and intimate atmosphere for any occasion.
The Chapel comfortably seats up to 80 guests in 16 traditional pews and is available to rent at $150 per hour. A two-hour minimum rental is required for events held Sunday through Thursday, and a four-hour minimum applies to events on Fridays and Saturdays. A one-hour rehearsal can be added on a weekday evening prior to your event for an additional $50.
Fort Sherman Chapel is available seasonally and all rentals are subject to availability.
The Chapel can also be rented in conjunction with the nearby JC White House for a seamless ceremony and reception experience. Let the timeless beauty and legacy of Fort Sherman Chapel be the backdrop to your unforgettable day.
White House Weddings and Events
The JC White House offers couples a stunning outdoor venue steeped in local heritage and timeless elegance right in downtown Coeur d'Alene. Originally built in 1903 for prominent Coeur d’Alene businessman Joseph Clarence White, this beautifully preserved landmark provides a one-of-a-kind setting for weddings and celebrations.
